It may be winter, but after some rain in the previous few days it was warm enough to entice plenty of people down to the beach.

Although you can't see them here there are more than a dozen surfers to my right. I got a few shots of them mid action, but in the end I preferred this one showing two people (and one dog) engaged in different activities.

It's unfortunate that neither of them had a coffee from the beach cafe behind me, because that was pretty representative of the morning as well.

I also liked this one because the red of the sky speaks of a time not long after sunrise.
