2 years ago, I would have had doubts about whether I would ever be standing on a London Underground platform. While I'd always thought of London as a place that I would like to see, I had no specific plans to do so since getting back to Italy was my primary priority.
Of course, I flew Qantas on this occasion because I had enough points for a business class upgrade. Which I did not of course get. Screw you, Qantas. And Qantas, being a world-class airline, flies into exactly one location in Europe. One. And that is London.
So here I am, standing on an actual London Underground station. Whether I shall ever get to do so again is open to speculation. I think I should apply myself assiduously to getting rich so that I can afford to fly business class to Europe without having to rely on useless and valueless frequent flyer points. And I shall do so on a different airline.
In such circumstances, then I may indeed be here (or somewhere like here) again. But at this moment, I was indeed here.
