We were in South Hobart to take part in a walking theatre performance called "Louisa's Walk" which was described in the previous image. Essentially it was two actors telling the story of a woman who had been transported as a convict to Tasmania in the 1800s.
In this scene the woman who played Louisa was standing well apart from our group while the male actor described the sense of isolation and loneliness that women like Louisa would have felt half a world away from home, torn apart from their families, and in an environment which was, to put it charitably, rather less than nurturing.
