Having explored as much as I could of the road leading off to the left of our hotel, I spent the rest of my meagre time this morning exploring the path up to the right of it. A farmhouse sat on the corner, looking across the fields of the Tuscan countryside. The view was outstanding (and the rapidly warming morning sky did no harm in contributing to that) but as in all farms, I suspect that the work would be long and tiring.

The grass is always greener, and all that.
