Here we see the remains of the Temple Of Castor and Pollux. The original temple on this site was built after the last King of Rome Tarquin was vanquished, supposedly with help from the aforementioned twins. This, obviously, was not that temple. In fact that temple had already been replaced at least once when this one was built by Tiberius after the one that was here was destroyed by fire in 14 BC.
In one way it's sad to see that this is all that remains of it. In another, these 2000 year old towering columns still hold some of their old power. I opted to shoot from this "In your face" angle to emphasise that.
