Heading away from the guest accommodation that we saw previously, the landscape opens up to reveal the classic Tuscan agricultural countryside. Some of this land appears to be under cultivation, but since this is late summer whatever was growing there has probably already been harvested assuming that the land isn't just being left to lie fallow for a season. Along the track there are grazing areas for sheep. How do I know this? Because as we shall see in a later shot, I saw sheep being herded up there from the property adjacent to our hotel.
Time is ticking on; the vague hints of red in the sky seen in some of the earlier shots are becoming more pronounced.
