It took me a moment or 2 to realise exactly where I'd taken this. It was clear from the timestamp that it still had to be in San Gimignano. It was only 15 minutes after the previous shot, so it was far too soon for us to have made it on the road to Siena. Then I remembered; there was a lookout just along the road from the gates that we had entered through. (The one shown in the earlier shots in this gallery.)
I took two shots as a panorama, though in fact they overlapped so much that there was barely any point. Nonetheless I thought I would use them anyway.
This, then, was my parting view of San Gimignano If you exclude the car park where the bus picked us up. But I prefer to think of it as this one, which is a rather more romanticised view.
It's entirely possible that this was in fact my last view of San Gimignano ever. Not if I have any control over it, it won't be.
Ah, money. So convenient, always in such short supply. The same goes for time, come to that.
