This is a 5 image pano stitch, taken after I moved around to the right on the medieval battlements as you can tell from the position of the moon over that large hill.

I thought that I had picked up some strange stitching artefact from the brown line about a third of the way across the image from the left. However that is in fact a metal bar, probably a railway sleeper, sitting on a metal ball which may have once been a cannon ball.

It's for sure that that wasn't there in the1300's.

Nor, probably, were most of the buildings now in view.

However as I mentioned in the previous image, if you paused for a moment and just let it happen it wasn't too hard to feel 800 years or more of ghosts at your shoulder here.

Damn I wish I had a day or three to spend there.
