It's pretty much in the middle of nowhere.
That's kinda the point.
If you weren't here with a large tourist bus you would need a car. Not much is in walking distance. But this is a place to get away from things if you prefer to. There were two possible places for our stay in Toscana, here and a hotel that has all the charm of a truck stop in Poggibonsi. Thankfully we landed this one. We were here for 4 nights and 3 days, and while some of the day trips were optional, if I recall correctly only one couple opted to skip one of them (San Gimignano and Siena on the first day),and that because they had a cold.
The restaurant was quite good, as was the outdoor setting. The keys were big, old and clunky but quaint all the same.
I will admit that I had to do some fudging in this shot, combining an indoor exposure for the room and an outdoor exposure for the view beyond. I originally tried to merge two images to HDR but they were just slightly too far off kilter and it didn't work.
However I didn't change any details; this is indeed the view we had out and over the Tuscan hills.
