Our stop in Orvieto set the tone for the rest of the trip; we had a limited amount of time, and we were on the clock constantly. We were going to be using the tower clock in the town square to keep track of when we had to get back. It was only later that we noticed that something looked rather odd about it; the time just did not seem to be right.
Of course it was; it's just that the foreground clock has only one hand. It indicates the hour and part thereof, but not the minutes. As you can see from the clock in the background it was about 11:15 at this point. (Of course, you won't be able to see that from the exif of this shot because I had forgotten to reset the camera from Australian time at this point.)
