Our first night on the road saw us head north from Roma and into Tuscany (Toscana), where we stayed for three nights. Not here, though. While the place we stayed at had a similar view, this was the home of a restaurant that we went to for a Tuscan dinner.
The hosts made sure to point out the similarities between the roadway and its cypress trees, and the famous scene in the movie Gladiator where Maximus returns to his home to find it destroyed.
The food was good and plentiful (we had an unexpectedly large number of dishes served to us), though it was not what I would regard as exceptional. Still, a dinner in the Tuscan hills is something that must be experienced.
The dinner was certainly better than the noise in the sky in this image, though I believe that it won't be as obvious when I reduce the size. Olympus has recently announced the OMD E-M1 Mk II which is supposedly much improved. I'll believe it when I see it. Unfortunately noise is the price to be paid for such a compact kit.
