This shot was taken a week before posting at which time the smoke from hazard reduction burn offs still hung heavy in the air. No, there was no post processing of the colours here. This was what the sky actually looked like as the warm morning sunlight tried to make its way through the smoky haze.
I was originally just doing silhouette shots of the trees against the sky when three guys walked past in the direction of the beach. I decided to include them in the shot and the tree therefore took something of a back seat.
Of course, this isn't a true silhouette. Although I made a very minor compression of the white and black points on a levels adjustment layer, I've largely left the exposure to fall where it did. I just let the exposure point do the work to create the shadows here.
