I wasn't out to shoot these guys on this particular morning; I was in fact trying to get some shots of the lighthouses to the south of here. However the lighthouses were not illuminated and most of the shots ended up being rather pedestrian, although a couple of them had some good morning light casting a red colour on their white sides.

However instead I decided to opt for this image of a row boat crew being backlit by the orange of the rising Sun. I suppose they're really not that far off the coast in the overall scheme of things, but all things considered I'm quite happy with them being out there and me being over here on dry land. If I had to be one of them it would probably be the guy with the tiller; not because it's an easier gig, but simply because that way I'd be able to see what was coming at us.
