McCauley's Beach is one of the off leash beaches in the Illawarra area. As a consequence on this Queen's Birthday public holiday it provided a happy hunting ground for new photographs.
This shot is cropped from a larger one was taken at some distance from the scene. I decided to crop it into three distinct subjects:
- The Labrador which is intrigued by the scent coming from a beach fisherman's bait bucket;
- The two dogs playing in the foreground, one more energetically than the other;
- The owner of one of those dogs.
It may not be a conventional "rule of thirds", but it works for me.
