I've fallen a little behind in my postings / commenting / replying to PMails, but no matter, it's nothing like last year.
As I've mentioned previously I can get a substantial discount on my weekly travel costs if I make 8 journeys per week. Getting to work and going home each day are two. If I get on the tram to go somewhere at lunch time that's three on that day. But rather than just do a pointless trip I've started to do some journeys which expand my PADing horizons a little.
Today's was to the Pyrmont Fish Markets. Which is something of a dive; in essence it's a huge, roughly surfaced car park with a few buildings scattered around it. It's unsurprising that every couple of years the State Government comes up with a New! And! Exciting! Plan! to revitalise it, which of course disappears without trace for a couple of years until the government of the time is in need of more circuses to go with the bread and regurgitates it up again.
This doesn't stop tramloads of Japanese tourists from being disgorged here, nor from it being standing room only at each lunchtime. One advantage of this is that nobody looks twice at anyone with a camera.
To begin my exploration of the markets I've opted for a produce shot; a cluster of salt water Barramundi (a most delicious fish, may I add) just waiting to be bought from Peter's Fish Market.
I can think of a few felines who would be most interested in this shot.
