At Home, Illawarra, NSW

Today saw me working at home again. The day was hot, the light was harsh, and the opportunities to take a PAD were few.

I therefore decided to whack the macro lens on the 40D and take a shot of the light refracting through this ornament that hangs over the kitchen window. The harshness of the summer sun can be seen hitting the roof of the building next door even though the light within the crystal ornament seems to be much cooler and tamer.

This worked very well as I like all the colours captured in the glass ornament. I keep forgetting that the macro lens is the PADDER's best friend.
