20140130_1302253 Under The Harsh Australian Summer (Thu 30 Jan)

Pirrama Park, Pyrmont

I've mentioned the harsh midday summer light before, but unfortunately it's generally the only time I get to shoot a PAD. So I figured that this time I'd make use of it. At the far end of Pirrama Park there's a set of concrete steps which lead down into Johnston's Bay to form a swimming pool. If you dare.

So I figured "What could be more harsh than midday sun bouncing off (once) white, sharply lined concrete?"

Not much, I think.

Great lighting and comp. The harsh light on concrete often creates nice contrast. Very well done.

Well composed and I'm guessing the fact there's no sitting on the steps is testament to the heat.
