What does the title have to do with the image?
It's a tenuous connection I'll admit.
I went out to take a night shot since although my PADing still (clearly) isn't firing on all 7 cylinders due to work commitments, I want to at the very least get a shot each weekend day. The car radio was on, and the local station was playing the hits from all through the "Noughties" including (just before I parked here to take this shot), Emenem's Just Lose It. A song which, were you to ask me, I would have declared was released "a couple of years ago" but was in fact closer to 10. (2004, to be precise.)
The playlist, including that, made me start thinking about all of the "coulda-woulda-shoulda"s from 2000 to now, as well as one thing which shouldn't have happened to one person that I've known for all of that period. But that's a subject for another time. (Edit from 2023; specifically, it was news about the event that will be recorded in my PAD shot of 4 May.)
In any case, this shot of the Austinmer beachfront and the Surf Lifesaving Club tells me that one of the things that I "shoulda" is to refine my technique in taking night shots. I set the tripod down low on this one because I intentionally wanted the foreground leading in to the shot.
