This follows on from the previous image. Remember that gentle curve at the base of the Apostle? This is how it got there. In the long term, the ocean is going to win out over the limestone stacks, even if it's a grain at a time. They'll then return to the sea.
That said... can we take a moment to recognise how miraculous it is that some plant life is growing and surviving on an isolated, wind and water swept rock in an ocean tens of metres away from the main body of land?
