It's entirely possible that at some point I traversed this street as we were making our way around Melbourne, but I certainly wouldn't have done it like this. Whether intentionally or just fortuitously, our pilot managed to steer us straight down the centre of the street toward our MCG landing spot. We were low enough to see and wave to those on the ground, particularly a couple of toddlers in a stroller (not visible in this shot) who had big smiles on their faces from watching the aliens from another world floating by over their heads.
You won't be able to see it in images which are reduced for web display, but I was able to make out the cross street names Gipps Street (that's the cross street on the first roundabout) and Von Guerard Place (left of image, just in front of the first silver car) which means that we are drifting just a little off south west straight along Powlett St in East Melbourne.
