12513 The Corridor Of Gums

Illawarra Fly, Knight's Hill NSW

This stand of gum trees almost forms a corridor leading off into the valley beyond. I believe that this is the dominant Brown Barrel type of gum tree from the relatively stringy bark found on the trunk and larger branches, as opposed to the Gully Gum which has rough bark on the lower trunk, and smooth bark up most of the trunk and branches.
