A curious contrast with the sculpture that's coming up next, but let's go with it anyway. You need to step back from this one a bit to be able to see the word that's being spelt out. Hmm, actually I'm not sure that it's obvious from this angle either; hard to tell because of course I already know what it is.
"Life", obviously. (Would have been more obvious had I had the extra 4m of wide angle on the 24-105 and been able to fit the "e" in properly.
This sculpture is made of potting mix and flowers, with the author's statement being "Mulch!". It must have taken a while to achieve this. For an artist's fee the artist (Ian Swift of NSW) can reproduce it for you. Or I could probably do it myself except that plants in my care seem to mistake me for Dexter Morgan and respond accordingly.
