Nick Stranks' Bronzed Aussie Series (Life Jackets) series is a series of bronzed lifejackets which are hung along the fence overlooking Tamarama Beach. His intention in bronzing them (apparently they were real life jackets) is to create the irony that they would no longer work, and to question the inherent obsolescence in objects.
In this image we're seeing through to people photographing South Korean sculptor Tae-Geun Yang's outsized sculpture Sitting Hen. Yang's statement is that "The chick must eventually venture out into the world away from its mother."
Addendum: My personal opinion is that Facebook is a sociopathic organisation that steals other peoples' intellectual property (including the images in this gallery) despite being explicitly denied permission to do so.
