Yes, my PAD postings have STOPped. Yes, my 24-105 lens has STOPped working again (though needless to say it worked fine when I demonstrated it to the guy at the camera store) and is back in for service. But no, I wasn't planning to STOP PADing for the month or so that I did the last time the 24-105 went south.
This hiatus was completely unplanned, courtesy of a lovely chest infection which didn't quite knock me off my feet, but came close enough. (And certainly did for about 3 days last weekend.)
While I haven't got a plan to resume regular, daily shooting it's definitely time to GO again and I won't be waiting for the 24-105 to return before doing that.
In this case I was playing around with still life exposures, using off camera flash. There was some (weak, since it's overcast and late in the afternoon) natural light coming in from the left but most of the lighting comes from a flash that the remote unit set off directly above the glasses.
I want to play around with other lighting effects like this as time goes by, because there's a great deal to learn with flash; more than I imagined.
