I returned to my old habit of doing a lunchtime wander to seek out a PAD subject. I did indeed find a few, but this one took me by surprise. As I've mentioned in the past a large part of the Pyrmont area that was formerly industrial has been converted into high rise apartment blocks with obscene price tags. They offer an ultra modern and, it has to be said, somewhat antiseptic living environment.
You can therefore imagine my surprise when, walking past one such block, I spotted what appears to be an orange tree growing (and seemingly thriving) in a ground floor courtyard of one such building.
This shot pretty much sums up the weather at lunchtime today; bright and clear, cool but I was more than comfortable in shirt sleeves and didn't need a jacket. More like one of our famous autumn days than a winter one, in fact.
