This morning I did a dawn shoot out at Clovelly beach, because (a) I wanted to go to a place that I hadn't been to before and (b) I thought that it was time for a sunnier shot to go into the PAD rather than the night / dark / pre-dawn / late afternoon shots that I've been doing of late.
Some of those shots are currently in the Clovelly To Coogee gallery (PBase link).
While I have a bit of an aversion to shooting people for fear of invading their privacy, I will do it occasionally. In this case, however, it was academic. I was set up to shoot the sunrise hitting Gordon's Bay, and while a number of people who came along the path went behind me, a few continued along in front. (I've never understood why people think that they're "ruin" or "spoil" a shot if they walk into frame. In terms of telling a story about place and time, a person or two randomly in the shot can in fact define it... as is the case here.)
Hey, if someone is happy enough to walk into shot, I'm more than happy to include them in it.
(Actually I did get one set of runners who yelled out "Hey, take a photo of us!" but since they kept on running and I was in the middle of changing lenses at the time, that didn't happen...)
