Oh, to have had a tripod with me.
Of course I wasn't supposed to be here at all. I started work a bit after 6 this morning and planned to leave just before 5. However the call-sign of the day at work was "Charlie Foxtrot" as a result of which I didn't leave until after dark. By that time the bus service back to the city swings between "occasional" and "imaginary", and I decided to walk. While doing so I noticed that the replica of Captain Cook's Endeavour was lit up in a rather fetching fashion. While I had my 10-22 wide angle with me I knew that expecting to hand hold that for a long enough exposure would be a tad optimistic. So the 24-105's IS was called into service, albeit at the price of some of the top mast. But on the other hand, this framing may have worked out better anyway.
This may well have been HDR-fodder... but not without my Manfrotto it isn't, so this is as good as it gets for now. Maybe at some future time...
