This wasn't my first choice for the PAD for Saturday. I had a number of other images with golden colours from early morning light on sandstone that I originally considered to be far more likely contenders. (Those will now be found in the Pyrmont Dusk 'Til Dawn gallery, which is HERE. Yes, I know it doesn't look like a hyperlink on some browsers, which is why I capitalised it.) Yet looking through my PADs it's been a looooong time since I've done a black and white image and when I applied the B&W adjustment layer there was something about it that took me back to half-remembered photos that I've seen of pre-war Paris. (Not that Pyrmont would normally be mistaken for Paris any time soon.)
In any case, I liked the effect and thought that it made a change from the saturated palette that is usually more my style.
