Clearly I've been away from my PAD way too long. I had to remember how to work the 40D's controls (the very thing (well, one of them) that I started the PAD to avoid), couldn't recall the Photoshop Actions that I used to use on a daily basis, and even forgot to append the date code in front of the image when I first saved it. Oh, and just realised that I didn't add the metadata keywords, D'OH! Aside from which I wanted to remove the Taronga Zoo image (and its associated reminders) from the current image position on my PAD.
Anyway, the 40D is back, but now the 24-105 f/4 L is in hospital, as I've finally isolated where it's having problems. I dropped it into the shop this morning so that'll be another two weeks until I get the diagnosis, much less the cure.
In the interim I've pilfered the 300D's 28-135 lens. I'm not going back to a photo each and every day (at least not yet) since I no longer have the luxury of having a fully functional camera at the office unless I want to resort to the 300D's old kit lenses.
However I regard myself as being in countdown mode to getting back to more regular PADing. (Though whether I go back to each and every day is more questionable; it really was becoming a time consuming chore.) Here we see the wharf numbers on the glass partitions along King St Wharf giving me such a countdown, though the starting point of 7 is a little arbitrary.
