For anyone who ever played the old city-building game Pharaoh: "Ostriches are nearly invisible when they put their head in the sand!" And for anyone else, you have no idea what I'm talking about but if you've been reading my captions for any length of time by now you'll probably be inclined to just go with the flow.
The ostriches at Taronga are also nearly invisible. You look upward toward their enclosure but unless they have their head sticking up (as this one does) you probably won't see all that much.
There's no way that I could see of getting a clean shot of them, so I'm having to let a shallow DOF try to filter out the obstructions a little.
