This is another view of the sculpture pictured in 091231_085816_4092 Australian Serviceman 1, this time from closer to the front.

Update August 2024: I made a mistake when I wrote the original commentary for this years ago. I assumed that the netting under his feet was the type of netting used on ships, thus representing naval as well as military servicemen. However according to the AWM's site, that's actually camouflage netting.
