Magnificent and far beyond any words, Aya Sofia is by far the most well known attraction in Istanbul. Translated, the name means “holy wisdom,” however, it's official name in English is “The Church of the Divine Wisdom.” Construction was completed in year 537 AD.

I was fortunate enough to have had THIS view from my hotel room … after a big fight with a travel agent, but that’s a whole different story ;-)!
