‘Water Lily pads in Blackwater Swamp.’
Testing watercolor over cyanotype. Just a concept for now and this is a quickly made piece.
I used a 5”x7” BW negative made earlier this year, directly onto ready-to-use 8x10 cyanotype paper,
holding back exposure a little to create a weak image (but using a hydrogen peroxide bath to deepen the blue).
After the initial dry down, I wanted to see how this particular 100lb paper would react to watercolor painting.
This was quickly made to see if it was worth proceeding more carefully with exposure.
I’ll make a decision when the piece is dried down and flattened.
