I just love this Colin, It leaps from the gallery page. I am also so impressed with the technical details of the shot. I haven't heard the word Hyperfocal Distance, used for a long time.vv

Hi Johnny: Thanks for the kind words. Second question today about the same thing, so I'm answering here too. Using 400 iso HP5+ with the (lightly but fully) overcast conditions, the only incident reading I took for the two rolls I shot (consistent brightness) gave me EV12, which meant I was happy to work around the f16 @ 1/100 as my median. In the shade, I was down to 1/30. But here for this shot, in the brightest area, I was at the median. This EV allowed me to select f22 @1/60. Then, using hyperfocal settings, I placed the Infinity focus at f22, which gave me 2.5m/8 feet at the near end. I was happy with this because the nearest rails in the viewfinder were at about 2m. It is only the foreground which is out of focus. I sat the camera on the concrete for the shot. Hope that answers the question!

Beautiful lines and symmetry, Colin! Where did you place the focus point? Just curios..
