In April 2013, I had the opportunity of shooting several models while in Jakarta, thanks to my shooting buddy, Gunawan Budihardjo. The session was held inside two dilapidated buildings dating back to the Dutch colonial period of years past. There is a big willow/banyan tree growing inside one the buildings. Yes, the roof was semi-collapsed for the tree to get sunlight. In general, the lighting conditions were on the low side but interesting nonetheless.
Prior to the trip I bought a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG Art and took it with me, in addition to other Canon lenses, that is, on this trip. The Sigma lens didn't disappoint; actually, to my delight it is very impressive. It delivered sharp images, even at wide open aperture. Too bad, pbase hasn't updated the lens database as of this posting. Please check the EXIF data for images taken with this lens and please pay attention to the aperture used. The other two Canon lenses used on this gallery are 85mm f/1.2L Mark II and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS Mark II.
