In addition to what Andy said for cropping, I'd also crop from the bottom to just below where the trunk goes into the ground.

It's a well executed shot Pam. I'd try cropping a bit off the top and maybe try it in B & W, really rack up the contrast between blue sky and cloud

I really like this image, pam. It is composed really well and conveys the feeling of loneliness the tree might be feeling.I like the fact that it is off to one side in the composition

Pam, I love the tree, but wish that there were a bit more drama in the sky and or ocean to bring a bit more emotion! still, nice work!
