Emission/reflection nebula in Perseus
Also called The Northern Trifid for obvious reasons.

SXV-H9,2.75 arc-sec/pixel
Stellarvue Nighthawk at f/6 piggybacked on STV-guided LX200 at 1,575 mm. Astronomik 13 nm H-alpha filter, 13 x 720 seconds, unbinned 1x1. Acquired with AA 3.0, algned with AIP4WIN ver 1, sigma combined in Ray Gralak's pre-beta 11. Image is a composite of H-alpha data (used in Red channel in Astroart's chrominance tool) composited with a luminance made up of the
H-alpha data. I used Corel Photo Paint 8.0 to composite the image, and then played with the saturation to enhance the red color. full exif
