My Trip to Italy

The Trip started in Roma and I have a friend there next to the Fountain di Trevi. It was a wonderful birthday party and a Friday night in Roma. https://pbase.com/acoffey/rome
After this
I was off to Ischia after a train ride to Napoli and a Ferry. I felt like I had never left this special place. An Island with great food and wine. An island that you can escape to with no Americans and any thing that reminds you of home. A castle that Michelangelo stayed at. Radioactive thermal baths. Everything is so different and the people are magnificent (simpatico) I met with Tizzy whom is in the photos. She lives there and the crux of the journey. I was to see how San Angelo celebrates the patron Saint Michelle of this parish.
The day of the feast the power went off in all of France an Italy and it was drizzling. So I did not get to see the feast, but I saw how breathtaking this little town on the remote side of an Island off the coastline of Naples exist there lives. I was only visiting a week but I went to glimpse and experience life there. Capturing memories that will last a lifetime.
I went out to lunch every day and took naps and explored. Went to a mud park that was 1000 years old leased by the Vaticano unchanged after all these years. Took a water taxi and jumped off the boat in a foot of water in the Mediterranean Sea when I reach my destination on the beach. Saw the Italian military band play Verdi for the village. Learned some Italian expressions. Went to an unusual grave yard after church with a children choir singing for there patron Saint. Recognized faces of people and made friends with a stray dog. Ate the very best seafood at dinner every night. Stayed up late listing to Napolitano songs sung by young people. Beauty was abound and the weather was perfect. It was a fine Italian experience. I put up these photos so you can have a snapshot of what I experienced. Please comment on peculiar photos you like. https://pbase.com/acoffey/ischia
