Tom Thomson Shack

Tom Thomson is a famous Canadian landscape painter. After a sketching trip in Algonquin Park in 1915, Tom Thomson moved to Toronto's Rosedale Ravine to complete his paintings. The shack was his studio during that period of time. The present Shack is a reconstruction of the building as it may have looked during Thomson's residency. The Shack was restored in 1989 and relocated to the McMichael Canadian Art Collections.
