The "water/flood line" inside the house was measured at 5' from the floor. This put the river at ~ better than halfway up these windows.

As you can see they have tried very hard to bring back some normality. some usefullnes to their property. They have been using it as a summer get away, and continue to fix and repair what they can.

Neighbors on the south. They will have their houses torn down, some participated in the FEMA buyout.

The flowers and shrubs are still trying to grow, there used to be beautiful gardens and a small fish/garden pond at this house.

There used to be a 6' high stockade privacy fence between the houses. At one time they had a page fence dog enclosure.
