to answer the questions about the quality, no i didn't put the image through a de-noising program. the only thing i did was use photoshops Auto-color, and auto-level, and i manually adjusted the sharpness, and walla! The rebel is truley "that" good.

The Rebel is using the same sensor as the 10D. You have the iso at 100 here. So to the question of "Is the Rebel that good", if I may take the liberty to answer...Yes it is. I would bet you didn't do anything to this in the way of noise removal.
