Building a House at Rancho Queimado (2021)

Rancho Queimado é um município situado a 70 km de Florianópolis à oeste. Possuo, desde 2004, um terreno nesta cidade e recentemente (fim de 2020) iniciei a construção de uma casa nesta região de belos vales e montanhas na Serra Catarinense. Uma casa de madeira foi, na nossa opinião, a mais adequada para a atmosfera e clima da Serra. Ao longo desta construção fui fazendo o registro dos trabalhos, desde a escolha do local no terreno até a conclusão da casa, incluindo alguns detalhes internos. Com o único objetivo de manter esse registro, criei essa pasta. Durante a construção (aproximadamente 5 meses, a partir outubro de 2020), seguidamente fui acompanhado de amigos (Norton, Leão e Henrique) e de familiares (Eduarda, Marcelo, Fernanda, Françoise, Beatriz, Vitor e a pequena Alice, minha neta). Françoise ajudou muito nos acabamentos e decoração final. Algumas fotos foram feitas por Leão e Norton. Agradeço a todos o apoio e suporte durante esse período; sugestões foram de grande valia para as diversas decisões que precisaram ser tomadas.

Rancho Queimado is a small town 70 km west of Florianópolis. I have a plot of land there since 2004 and recently (2020) I started building a house in this "Serra Catarinense", with its beautiful valleys and hills. A wood house was - and is - in our opinion, the most appropriate for the climate and atmosphere of the area. During the construction work, I photographed the evolution of the house, starting with the choice of its location up to the final internal details. The only goal of the gallery is to keep memory of the activities without any other interest. During these five months (from 2020 October), I was often accompanied by my friends (Norton, Leão e Henrique) as well as my family (Eduarda, Marcelo, Fernanda, Françoise, Beatriz, Vitor and my grand-daugther Alice). Françõise was very active on the final decoration. Some pictures were taken by Leão and Norton. I am grateful for their constant support and for several suggestions, of great interest for the necessary decisions to be taken.
