Lille is a very nice town in the nord of France. It is located approximatelly 300 km from Paris and close to Brussels. Old mining and textile town, Lille went to considerable economic troubles in the 1970s. But now, the new trend in Lille is technology activities and industry and important univerties are located there. Our university in Brazil has scientific collaboration with the Technical University of Lille 1. Then, since 2004 we have visited this town for working and visiting. Several pictures were taken at Lomme, a neighborhood of Lille where miners and textile workers lived in the 30s, 40s. My friend Yvonnick has a house there and he showed me interesting places for photography. The pictures were taken in 2008 and 2012. I used a Nikon D90 and the Olympus OM-D E-M5, respectively.
