China: Beijing Area Visited in 1988

In 1988 I went to China for a conference (BISEF'88). It was the first conference in our research area organized in China. I met new several colleagues - with whom I still have relationship - in that meeting. Time passing, I thought that it would be interesting to scan the slides made in 1988 before it is too late. Humidity and moisture here is very agressive. I scanned them with a Nikon CoolScan V, a quite consuming time work. China in 1988 was different compared to now (I went there more recently twice). I divided this set of pictures in two folders: one related to sceneries and another on people photography, what is called, nowadays in a fashion way, as 'street photography', which actually has been made for about 150 years!! In that trip I had a Nikon F3 and the AIS Nikkors 24/2.8, 50/1.8 and 135/2.8, superb lenses for the time. I still have the 24 and the 135 Nikkors.
