In Ubon Ratchathani there is an annual Candle Festival. It involves numerous floats bearing incredibly ornate and beautiful wax sculptures depicting Thai and Buddhist legends. The procession takes place through the city on 31st July so we missed it, but did get to see the amazing artistry and work that goes into creating the floats.
