Without a doubt, one of the earliest 906 Magnesium crankcases I've seen https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/38864460.

I took these photos in 2006 when the crankcase became available for sale https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/38864455. As you can see by these photos (and those make the case actually look a whole lot better than in person), the magnesium was very grainy and falling apart, here you can clearly see a previous repair and a hairline crack https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/38864456. As a matter of fact, it looked as if the Magnesium was morphing back to sand, dust. Someone purchased this 906 crankcase serial 014, and I now wonder its fate...
