Incidentally and in case you did not know, there is a difference between the "early" and the "late" tops, here is how Glenn Stazak explains it. Starting sometime in late 1970 or early 1971 a charcoal loop carpet was installed on the interior side of the targa. Early is the 1970- mid 1973 - The front targa latch mounted flush against the inside edge of the targa. Late is the mid 1973-76 - The front targa latch mounting surface was spaced".
