These 3 Koni factory 914-6 GT rear adjustable shocks were modified, reinforced https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/154766542) by Topper to improve their reliability. The downside is that you cannot service the shock unless the top reinforcement collar spot-welds are ground down and removed https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/154766524. I do like the idea and I'm sure Topper did it for a reason...
