In this sequence of photos, I tried to capture the visual difference between the factory original 914-6 GT carpet material and another piece of factory original 917 carpeting. The 917 material is much lighter (thinner) than that used on the 914-6 GT cars and it is surprisingly the same in feel, look and texture. My guess is that the 917 material appears to be at least 60% thinner than what was used on the 914-6 GTs. WOW! Please note that some of the photos were taken with different types of lighting to really try and detail the difference between the materials. I will post more information as I get it. Stay tuned...
