Several 914-6 GT race cars, including the famous #40 Sonauto car https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/130637648 received enhanced road illumination wattage by the use of two Pallas driving lamps. Instead of being hood-mounted as designed for the 911, the Pallas lamps were installed behind the front bumper in the 914-6 GT instead. Make no mistake, this is NOT just a simple bolt-on installation, it is in fact a very precise task as the lamp housings both have to be properly trimmed and surgically mounted to fit inside and just behind the 914-6 GT front-bumper. The mounting-angle of these two Pallas lamps must be carefully executed https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/89596738 so they remain within the lamp's lead-screws range of adjustment.
